BIOGRAPHY
Valeriy (“Val”) Khaldarov is a Reliability Engineering Consultant at ASONIKA, LLC located in Tempe, Arizona. His professional duties include world-wide technical consulting for clients in the electronics industry and problem-solving through the use of mechanical, circuit, and diagnostic modeling & simulation design as well as design-for-reliability and design-for-test tools. He has consulted on the development of fault-tolerant, mission-critical system designs used in the satellite, aerospace and automotive industries. His professional interests cover multi-disciplinary aspects of reliability, safety and diagnostic design of electronics at system (box), board and component level with the emphasis on parameter identification of materials from actual test results and the application of engineering principles to sound product design. He is constantly challenged by design, safety and reliability problems brought about by emerging urban air mobility development as well as autonomy in the automotive industry and the application of lead-free and low temperature solders in high- and ultra-high-cycle environments. His current technical interests are in the areas of CAD (mechanical and circuit) modeling and simulations of electronics subjected to thermal and mechanical influences such as static loading (gravity, pressure, temperature distribution), thermal cycling, sinusoidal and random vibration, linear acceleration and acoustic noise; as well as assessing safety requirements using Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECAs), Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTAs).
He received his Bachelor of Science degree (Mechanical Engineering major) from University of Colorado at Boulder.
